  • STORY SUMMARY: Although the average age of a farmer in the US is 57, a new group of "Young farmers" in their 20's and 30's are foregoing urban lifestyles to work together in radical living and farming collectives. This sustainable farming community is especially growing in the piedmont of North Carolina. Through hard work, this evolving community seeks to break free from mechanization and consumerism, becoming a self-sustaining system.
